Caregiver Shout-Out!

This Shout-Out goes from pulmonary hypertension patient Jeannette Morrill to her husband and caregiver David.

Jeannette Morrill and husband DavidYou have, maybe, two years to live. The time you have left will be very gloomy.” This was the news I received as I sat stunned in the doctor’s office nearly 35 years ago.

David is my true hero. He never walked away from our relationship and, believe me, I don’t know how he didn’t. He is the person who does whatever needs to be done, seeks no praise or thanks, and continues on to the next hurdle or job. He is a husband, father, brother and uncle. A more trusting, wonderful person will not be found. He has supported me at every twist and turn PH has taken me through. He is always there and I know I can depend on him, no matter the circumstance. He has become involved with PHA and helps and supports not only me but other PH patients. He attends conferences with me and as many support group meetings as his work allows.

I don't know if I could have gotten through all the trials of PH if I had not known he was standing beside me, willing to do whatever needed to be done, in order for me to move forward. I love you, David, and don't have the words to express my deepest thanks to you for being in my life.
