Caregiver Shout-Out!

This Shout-Out goes from pulmonary hypertension patient Lisa Estrada to her husband and caregiver Joe.

Lisa and her husband JoeFrom the time I was diagnosed in September 2009, my husband Joe has been my constant rock, supporter and caregiver. We have been married for 22 years and he is my best friend. He was by my side every hospital stay, every doctor appointment and for every test. Joe was there to hold me when I cried and never turned away when I thought I couldn't handle anymore. He made me want to fight this with all my heart. This disease puts a huge amount of emotional, physical and financial stress on the entire family, but he has never once complained!

We enjoy the good days and hold onto one another on the bad days...we face this battle together. Only those of us who are impacted by PH can relate to the depth of despair that Pulmonary Hypertension brings; I could not do this alone. A HUGE SHOUT-OUT to the love of my life...Joe Estrada!
