Things I Found on PHA's Website: Conference Mobile App

Conference Mobile AppI found a useful and fun thing while reading Table Talk: Wired, the Conference blog. I found a mobile app for Conference! Now, I have to admit I am a hopeless app enthusiast, I shop for them like some people shop for jewelry and shoes. I have never had a passion for those things, but apps, I like. So I was definitely pleased to see a Conference app!

As the instructions suggested, I aimed my phone's code scanner at the QR code - that jazzed-up bar code image - and that sent me to the site. I clicked a prompt to add the app icon to my home screen. It was easy. It would also be easy to type the app URL into a browser, that has the same effect as scanning the QR code.

Now I have a PHA icon on my phone and when I click it, I have a list of links for Conference information. This is a mini website made especially for mobile devices, so it's the right size and readable with no re-sizing.

I can access the Conference agenda, hotel floor plan, Orlando map, speaker information and more. I see there is an Alerts link, and that will keep me informed if there are announcements during Conference.

In just about eight days when I'm in Orlando, I'll have Conference info close at hand at all times. As you may have supposed, my phone and my apps go nearly everywhere with me. It's my jewelry collection.
