EDUCATE YOUR COMMUNITY

The pulmonary hypertension community is made up of thousands of people in communities all across the country and around the world. Each of us have a story to tell and we can all use our stories to raise awareness of PH locally.

There are many ways to raise awareness of  PH in your community. Here are just a few ways to get started. Be sure to contact us for free materials, support or if you have an idea of your own!

• Exhibit at a local event

  Share your story and information on PH at a local fair, civic event, church or other places in your community.

• Give a talk

  Many local groups host speakers — let them know that you’re a local expert on pulmonary hypertension.

• Get a proclamation from your city or state

  Have your local officials declare November “PH Awareness Month.” It’s easy!

• Raise awareness through the media

  News outlets in your community are always looking for fresh local stories. You have a story to tell, and we can help you share through the media with the PHAware Campaign.

• Organize a Special Event
  

  Special Events organizers don’t just raise money for a cure. They also raise awareness of PH and recruit new supporters.
