Things I Found on PHA's Website: PHA Classroom
I found a great resource on the PHA website this month, and I was thinking it just might be my favorite part of the website. Then I realized choosing a favorite section would be like choosing a favorite niece or nephew. But let's say I wanted to spend 12 hours a day for a week with one of them, and I had to choose one. I could do that.
If I wanted to spend 12 hours a day for a week with a PHA website section, I'd go to the PHA Classroom recordings. I'd watch panels of PH experts as they discussed everything from the basics of pulmonary hypertension to transitioning to different medications. As they answered questions from people in the audience I'd feel like I was actually there. I'd watch experts discuss insurance issues. I'd spend some time with a panel of young adult PH patients as they discuss making the most of life with PH.
I have not yet logged the time watching the recordings, but there is enough material to fill an entire week. With over 140 recordings from Conference, PHA on the Road and live webinars, I could even spend two weeks watching them. The topics and presenters are so varied and numerous, the only difficulty would be choosing which one to cover next.
The first set of recordings from PHA’s 2012 International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions will be available starting in November, so watch for announcements. To be sure you never miss a live e-learning event or a newly-posted recording, sign up for the PHA Classroom News Feed.
Meanwhile, let me go back to what I said about choosing a nephew or niece to be with 12 hours a day. Maybe I could do that, but if you mention it to my family, I'll have to deny it.
