Do you know the difference between the types of pulmonary hypertension?

Not all PH is the same. Patients and families who attend PHA on the Road are living with pulmonary arterial hypertension, PH associated with connective tissue disease, PH in which the cause is unknown and other types of PH. If you’re newly diagnosed or have been living with PH for years, this is your opportunity to connect with others and learn about the latest research and information in treatment and disease management.

This year’s session topics include:

  • PH 101: My PH is not the same as your PH: Understanding how types of PH differ
  • PH 102: What’s on the horizon
  • Healthy diet and lifestyle choices in PH: Managing your diuretics and fluids
  • The important benefits of exercise and rehabilitation programs in PH
  • Oxygen: How to manage it at home, at work and on the go
  • PH therapies and choices: How do you and your clinician choose what’s right for you?
  • Managing colds and flu with PH: What should I do when I am sick, and what over-the-counter meds are safe?
  • PH and depression: Identifying depression, when to seek help and are depression meds safe in PH?
  • Surgical options: Lung transplant and PTE surgery for CTEPH

To make this event accessible to as many people as possible, in addition to free registration, PHA is offering:

  • Free valet parking
  • Free childcare for children ages 3-16 (no diapers, please)
  • Free breakfast and lunch for all attendees
  • Post-forum Sunday brunch for patients and families (register to learn more)
