Data reported at the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) annual meeting indicates Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA)-accredited medical sites are meeting stringent guidelines considered by experts as necessary, but too infrequently adhered to, in diagnosing and treating pulmonary hypertension (PH). PHA’s signature crawPHish boils will return to the Woodlands on March 25 and to North Texas on April 2 to spread awareness of pulmonary hypertension (PH) and raise funds to support PHA’s programs and services.
Last week’s 2nd Annual PHA O2 breathe™ Chicago Trivia Night officially established the opening of PH fundraising season. More than 200 trivia players showed up for the event, setting a record for the trivia fundraiser. PHA thanks event volunteer organizers Tracy Kuntzman and Rhonda Kuntzman and other members of their family who hosted the event again this year. The Kuntzman sisters’ mother, Carol Kuntzman, was diagnosed with PH in 2014. Special thanks to Teamsters Union #728, the event’s generous round sponsors and raffle donors as well as all attendees.
