Linda Carr lives in Miami Springs, Florida, with her husband Austin, who is an attorney. They have three children, Cody, Hannah, and Abby. Hannah was diagnosed with PPH in 1993. She was treated with Flolan for ten years, and is now doing well on oral therapy.

Linda graduated with honors from the State University of New York. She has worked as a teacher and in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles before starting her family. Linda is an active volunteer in various school, sports, and church organizations. Linda and her husband organized "Miami Cure PH Golf Tournaments" in 2000 and 2001 to raise money for research. She served on the Burroughs Wellcome new drug (Flolan) advisory committee as a patient advocate.

Linda has been a member of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association Board of Trustees since 1997, with a brief hiatus in 2007. She served as Nominating Committee chair in 1997 and 1998. Linda has also served as Vice-President and President of the PHA Board of Trustees, as well as PHA Conference Chairperson in 2004 and 2006 and as co-Chairperson in 2008 and 2010. She was also Secretary of the Board from 2008-2010.
